Agate stone, which is found in many different colors in nature, is formed as a result of the combination of quartz mineral with chalcedony. These stones, also called agate, are also known as Immortal Stone, Yemen Stone.

The most common colors are white, blue, red, brown and green. It has been used by many civilizations for various purposes. It meant power in ancient Mesopotamia. Seals used in commercial transactions were made of agate stones. These seals, which are durable due to being agate, have survived to the present day. In ancient China, it was believed to purify the mind and energize the wearer. In the Middle Ages, it was worn on ox-heads to ensure good harvests.

Agate takes its name from the Achates River in Sicily. Although its name comes from that region, it is found in many regions of the world.

You can clean agate stones with high hardness under water. Depending on the materials used in jewelry, it can be washed lightly with warm water, or it is recommended to wipe it with a damp cloth.
